Mrs. Allie Mae Peck

Born Into Time: March 19, 1933
Born Into Eternity: January 10, 2018

Allie Mae Peck was born on March 19, 1933 to the late Mr. Luther Brown and Mrs. Allie Brown in Eupora, Mississippi. Eight of her siblings preceded her in death.

Allie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior & developed a love for church, singing Gospel music and fellowshipping. Allie’s faith in the Lord was strong and her motto was, “Our Lord is in the blessing business.” Allie was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church and Apostolic Church of God. In her earlier years, Allie graduated from Cleveland Consolidated High School in Mississippi in 1953. She traveled to Chicago, Illinois in the same year. Allie married Lionel Barrymore Peck in 1959 and to this union, birthed her three sons, Anthony, Gregg and Michael.

Allie was employed at Michael Reese Hospital and later began working at Little Company Hospital in 1967, where she was promoted to the position of Director of Food Services. She was the Food Services Director of Little Company of Mary Hospital until 1994. She later participated in volunteer activities with the Museum of Science and Industry.

Allie was a woman of dignity and was beautiful on the inside and out. Affectionately known by loved ones as “Mae-Mae,” she became the best of friends to those she cherished. Allie’s favorite things to do included listening to jazz, reading, bowling and traveling with her siblings. She was a phenomenal sister, aunt, mother and grandmother to her family members.

On January 10, 2018, God called Allie Mae Peck to climb the stairway of Heaven to her newfound home with Him. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Anthony (LaNesa), Gregg and Michael (Crystal); grandchildren, Sharonda, Ashley, Anthony (Kelli), Alan (Gregg) and Michael, Jr; great-grandchildren, Layla and Kayson; sister, Joyce Ammons; brothers, Harold Brown and Robert Wayne Brown; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Carter, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
