Mrs. Catherine R. Hagen

Born Into Time: August 18, 1931
Born Into Eternity: September 30, 2017

Catherine Rose Snaer Hagen was born on August 18, 1931, in Pass Christian, Mississippi, to the parents of Agnes Mary Salvant Snaer and Louis Snaer Sr. She was the youngest of seven children. She was known by her siblings as “Baby” and her friends as “Kat” and “Caky” during her years in Mississippi and Chicago.

She was known affectionately by many people in her community as a person who enjoyed life and would provide guidance to those in need. She was a homemaker and took great pride in doting on her children. She was married to Mr. Albert Bradley Jr. in 1950 and three children were born as a result of this marriage, Susan Anthony (Willie), Sylvia Johnson, and Albert Bradley III “Brother”. Catherine also had two sons Theodore “Jay” Bradley and Terrence “Terry” Bradley (Jeena). She married Clarence Hagen on August 24, 1971, until his death in 1992.

She enjoyed many years of traveling to see her children and grandchildren reach milestones in Atlanta and Chicago. She was the grandmother of Sedrick Anthony (Beonka), Tisha Bradley, Marissa Stewart (Justin), Alicia Bridges (Jack), Bryce Redmond Lee, Nailah Bradley, Rayyah Bradley, and Terrence Bradley. She also enjoyed spending time with her great-grandchildren, Zaion, Simone, Zamir, and Spencer. In the time of her life when she needed constant care, her son Jay was her caretaker in sickness and in health until her death on September 30th.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Agnes Watson, Emily Hollins, Margaret Jenkins, Virginia Swanier, Louis Snaer Jr., and Arthur Snaer, and her son Terrence “Terry” Bradley. She leaves to cherish: her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

We love you, miss you, and will always remember you.

Rest well Mama Hagen...

Sorry for the loss of your dear loved one _______. When the enemy death strikes, words are never enough at a time like this, but know that caring thoughts are with you. Find comfort in knowing that God has promised to "swallow up death forever"- Isaiah 25:8
