Geraldine “Gerri” Gamble (Richey), beloved wife of the late Joseph “Joe” Gamble went on to be with her Heavenly Father on June 6, 2019.
Gerri was a loving mother of 4 – Denita Jo and Robin Lynne (who both preceded her in death) and Mark Joseph and Mia Susan. She was a loving grandmother to Keisha Jo, Kendra Jo, Henry Jared, Kourtney Lynne, Mark Justin, Cierra Dawn, Malia Dawn, Mariah Danielle, and Marlena Danice. Gerri was a devoted great-grandmother of six. She also leaves to cherish her memory her sisters: Henrietta Collins, Alease Mayfield, Frenchie Jones, and Patricia Murray (deceased), a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Gerri was a devoted and dedicated member of Pullman Christian Reformed Church where she served the Lord. During her active years, Gerri served as a pre-school director and teacher, served on the fellowship committee and church board as well as Sunday School teacher and Administrative Assistant to the pastor. She truly loved her church!
Gerri’s accomplishments include being one of the first African American Women to be hired at Bell Telephone Company in 1946. She was a member of the Springer Concert Ensemble and President of VIP serving on the PTA at Wendell Smith School for 8 years.
